In the end I think the most reasonable places to use this kind of functionality are organizations that run private servers of several types for internal use and want to synchronize them. Consider what happened when Google acquired YouTube and wanted to force-map all the YouTube accounts to G+ accounts? It wasn't a simple process even though they had direct access to both databases, because many of the YouTube users did not want to create G+ accounts at all. Where it gets tricky is when the information gets passed between organizations or across administrative domains. There IS value in exchanging that kind of information between applications, I totally agree on that concept. It could lead to an undesired revelation of identity, or associate someone's identity publicly with a group that they prefer not to advertise their membership in. Sharing the requisite information could be a privacy nightmare. What if I use both services for various purposes but only want to be associated with BananaEnthusiasts on one of them? The merits of delicious yellow fruit notwithstanding, I wouldn't want to enforce a mapping of that nature without input from each user. The second reason I love this tool, and the main reason I started using it, is that you can assign tasks to individuals. You can also sort tasks by due date, project label, person assigned and more! I also love that you can add color-coded labels to your task items so if you have various tasks assigned to different projects or clients you can easily see what’s on your plate. You can easily type and enter task items, assign a due date, add repeating dates, add notes, and attach files to each task. It’s also a great way to boost your productivity.įirst, let’s talk about the task aspect of this tool. If you have a team or even if you don’t this tool revolutionizes the traditional ‘to do’ list. It’s called Producteev and it is fabulous! Seriously, I cannot stop raving about this tool. This next tool is near and dear to my heart. However, let this serve as a warning that it is important to thoroughly proofread your content when using this tool. In all seriousness, Dictation is proving quite useful despite it’s gaps. ![]() This is proving to be instrumental as I am currently wearing a student because my phone has tendinitis. For example when I mentioned above that I had tendonitis it put together a sentence like this: However there are many words it will substitute and not realize that it just change the entire meaning of the sentence. Overall it does get most of the words that I’m saying correct. So far, the accuracy leaves something to be desired but I can tell that it is learning to recognize my voice because the accuracy is improving. But, the bright side is I wouldn’t have been able to discover and test this tool otherwise. This is proving to be instrumental as I am currently wearing a stint because my thumb has tendonitis.
